Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of our Website and our non-emergency medical transportation services across Metro Atlanta and all surrounding areas.
1. Agreement to these terms
By using priority-one-transportation.com (the "Website") or requesting transportation services from Priority One Transportation ("Priority One", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Website or request services. You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian act on your behalf, to request services.
2. What we provide — non-emergency transportation only
Priority One provides non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT): scheduled, door-through-door rides for ambulatory, wheelchair, stretcher, and bariatric-stretcher passengers in Metro Atlanta and all surrounding areas.
We are not an ambulance, emergency, or medical services provider. We do not provide emergency transport, medical treatment, diagnosis, or advice. In a medical emergency, call 911. Your use of our services does not create a physician-patient relationship.
3. Trip requests, estimates & confirmed pricing
The Website provides an estimated fare based on the information you enter (pickup and drop-off addresses, service type, stairs, and weight). Estimates are for informational purposes only and are not a guaranteed final price. The final price is confirmed by our dispatch team before your ride and may differ based on actual distance, route, waiting time, stairs, equipment needs, or other trip-specific factors.
A ride is only confirmed once our team contacts you and a pickup time is agreed. Submitting a form does not guarantee availability.
4. Payment
Priority One is a private-pay service for riders and contracted facilities. We do not bill Medicare or Medicaid directly.
- Private-pay riders must pay through our secure payment link before the scheduled appointment, unless otherwise agreed.
- We accept cash or debit/credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) through the secure payment link.
- Once payment is received, an invoice and payment confirmation are sent to the email address you provide.
5. Scheduling, cancellations & no-shows
We request 24–48 hours advance notice to properly accommodate your transport, though we always try to help with shorter notice. To cancel or reschedule, contact us as soon as possible.
Late cancellation / no-show: if a driver has already been dispatched or has arrived and you are not going, you may be charged for a one-way transport, which may or may not include mileage depending on your location.
Waiting time: out-of-area transports requiring our driver to wait for you will incur a waiting fee.
6. Rider responsibilities & conduct
To ensure everyone's safety and comfort, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the rider's mobility needs, weight, stairs, oxygen use, and trip details
- Be ready at the agreed pickup time and location (if we arrive and you are not ready, it can cause delays and may be treated as a no-show)
- Secure any personal items before transport — drivers cannot be delayed moving or carrying extra items, and unsecured items cannot be carried for safety
We may refuse transport of any item that is unsafe, oversized, or not secured, and we may refuse or end service where a rider's conduct threatens the safety of drivers, staff, or other riders.
7. Companions & personal aides
With advance notice, one family member or staff attendant may accompany a rider. Please tell us when scheduling so we can confirm seating. Service animals are welcome; please notify us so the vehicle can be arranged appropriately.
8. Delays & service availability
We make every effort to arrive on time, but actual travel times depend on traffic, weather, road conditions, and other factors outside our control. We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, construction, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including missed appointments due to such delays.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Georgia law, Priority One shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or damages from missed appointments, arising from or related to our services or this Website. You agree that our total liability for any claim related to a transportation service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for that specific transportation service.
You are responsible for coordinating with your medical providers regarding your appointments and for arranging emergency care when needed; we are not an emergency service.
10. Warranty disclaimer
The Website is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
11. Intellectual property
All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is owned by or licensed to Priority One Transportation and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
12. Privacy & communications
Information you provide is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By providing your phone number or email address, you agree that we may contact you regarding your ride request and related service communications.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of Fulton County, Georgia.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Website or our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
