Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Website or request non-emergency medical transportation.
Who we are
Priority One Transportation ("Priority One", "we", "us", "our") provides non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) throughout Metro Atlanta and all surrounding areas in Georgia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use priority-one-transportation.com (the "Website"), our online ride-request form, or when you contact us by phone, and how we use, share, and protect that information.
Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us, including:
- Contact details — rider name, phone number, and email address.
- Trip details — pickup and drop-off addresses (including unit numbers, gate codes, and access notes), date and time of transport, trip direction, and number of trips.
- Transport needs — service type (ambulatory, wheelchair, stretcher, or bariatric stretcher), number of stairs, patient weight, whether oxygen is required, and whether an escort will ride along.
We also collect limited technical data automatically, such as browser type, device type, and pages visited, solely to keep the Website working and secure.
Location data (Mapbox address autocomplete)
When you type a pickup or drop-off address, the field uses the Mapbox geocoding service to suggest matching addresses. Addresses you type are sent to Mapbox so it can return suggestions; we store the address you select to calculate a fare estimate and coordinate your ride. Mapbox processes this data under its own privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Receive, schedule, and confirm transportation requests
- Generate fare estimates and provide final quotes
- Contact you to confirm pickup times, address, or trip details
- Coordinate with your care team or facility when you ask us to
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and spam through the Website
- Improve our services and Website
We do not sell your personal information. We use the information only to provide and improve our transportation services as described here.
How we share your information
We share information only with third parties that help us operate the service, and only as needed for those functions:
- Service providers — Mapbox (address autocomplete), our payment processor (Stripe) when you pay online, and our email/hosting providers (including Cloudflare and Resend) that transmit and store our Website and communications.
- Care facilities — if you ask us to coordinate directly with a facility, clinic, or case manager, we may share trip details to complete the transport.
- Where required by law — in response to a valid legal request, court order, or to protect the safety and rights of our riders, staff, and the public.
Payment information
All online payments are processed by Stripe through a secure payment link. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe collects and processes payment card details directly under its own privacy policy and security practices. We receive confirmation of payment only.
Data retention & security
We keep ride requests and related records only as long as needed to provide service and to meet business, legal, and regulatory obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — including encrypted HTTPS connections and limited-access systems — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Important: we are not an emergency or medical service
Priority One is a non-emergency medical transportation provider only. We are not an ambulance service and do not provide emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Our staff do not provide medical treatment, diagnosis, or advice during transport.
Your choices & rights
You may:
- Decline to provide optional fields (only rider name and phone are required to request a ride)
- Request access to or correction of your information
- Request deletion of your information, to the extent we are not required to retain it by law
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Website after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
